The President of Russia has signed a pivotal law enabling self-exclusion from gambling activities. With this law, bookmakers and casinos must facilitate self-exclusion requests via the 'Gosuslugi' portal or MFC centres, starting 1 September 2026. Importantly, users can self-exclude for a minimum of one year. 🎲 This regulation changes the game for operators too. They must ensure winnings are paid to a card after every bet and cease advertising to individuals who opt out. Further consumer protections include refunding bets made pre-exclusion but for events happening post-exclusion.
