IAG Sets Grand Lisboa Palace for Macau After Dark 36
Inside Asian Gaming has confirmed that Macau After Dark 36 will take place on Tuesday 7 July 2026 at The Garden House, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The event marks the first time the MAD series will be staged at the Cotai property’s newly unveiled banquet venue.
The invitation-only format remains unchanged. Guests must RSVP, present a ticket on arrival and provide business cards. That structure keeps the event tightly centred on business networking and direct industry introductions.
A New Setting for a Familiar Industry Format
The Garden House adds a fresh location to a series that has become a regular fixture in Macau and Manila since its launch in 2019. IAG said the venue offers an intimate environment designed to encourage conversation among senior executives, suppliers and decision-makers.
SJM Resorts Managing Director Daisy Ho said the company is pleased to welcome the sector to the space. She highlighted the venue’s French conservatory garden inspiration and its link to Jardim Secreto’s outdoor gardens, giving the event a setting built for receptions and formal social gatherings.
Why the Venue Choice Matters
For operators and suppliers, venue selection shapes the quality of networking as much as the guest list. A purpose-built banquet space inside a major integrated resort can support more focused conversations, easier introductions and stronger visibility for sponsors.
The choice of Grand Lisboa Palace also keeps attention on Cotai’s role as Macau’s premium hospitality hub. That matters for B2B events because location influences attendance, brand perception and the calibre of commercial engagement across gaming, hotels and supporting services.
SJM Resorts and the Wider Macau Context
SJM Resorts operates several of Macau’s best-known properties, including Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, Grand Lisboa Macau, L’Arc Macau, Casino Lisboa and Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai. Its footprint gives the company strong relevance in both gaming and non-gaming hospitality.
Grand Lisboa Palace itself features 1,892 rooms across three hotel towers, including THE KARL LAGERFELD and Palazzo Versace Macau. That scale helps explain why the resort continues to attract industry events that connect gaming, tourism, food and beverage, and luxury retail stakeholders.
IAG Expands Its Events Influence
The announcement also reflects Inside Asian Gaming’s wider role in B2B media and events across Asia. Beyond publishing, the company has built recurring physical touchpoints where operators, advisers and technology groups can meet outside formal conference settings.
That model has gained extra weight following IAG’s 2025 merger with CDC Gaming under Complete Media Group. For the industry, the combination links regional expertise in Asia with a broader international media and events platform.
